數百隊來自世界各地的玩家，在經過幾個月的競爭後，將由 12 隊高手參加於 BlizzCon 舉辦的秋季冠軍賽，競爭總金額 100 萬美元的獎金，而這場熱血賽事即將在 10 月 27 日揭開序幕。
有別於 2015 年的《暴雪英霸》世界盃聯賽，暴雪在 BlizzCon2015 宣布 2016 年《暴雪英霸》賽季將畫分為春季、夏季及秋季冠軍賽，各地區隊伍將在該賽事時間中，爭奪出線全球「春季、夏季或秋季」冠軍賽的資格。
2016 《暴雪英霸》秋季冠軍賽共有 12 支隊伍參戰，包含歐洲區 Team Dignitas、Fnatic、北美區 Astral Authority、Denial eSports、中國區 ZeroPanda、Super Perfect Team、南韓區 Ballistix、MVP Black、拉丁美洲區 Burning Rage、台港澳區 PBA、東南亞區 Imperium Pro Team、紐澳區 Reborn。（藍字隊伍為本屆種子隊，不需參加第一階段小組賽）。
由於 BlizzCon2016 殿堂上僅會比拼 8 強賽事，這也代表目前各國晉級的 12 支隊伍，將先在 10 月 27 日開跑的「開幕週」進行 A、B 兩組第一、二階段雙敗制小組賽，日前對戰組合已釋出，有興趣的玩家請見下方資訊（均是台灣時間）：
